Cheryl De Aguiar

Cheryl De Aguiar is a Research Associate in the Office of the Associate Director of the Applied Research Program (ARP). Ms. De Aguiar provides support for a number of ARP projects, including the 2015 International Cancer Screening Network (ICSN) meeting, the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) Workgroup, the Health Economics Research on Cancer (HEROiC) Workgroup, and the study of Trinity Radiation Doses and Cancer Risks within the American Indian and Latino populations of New Mexico. Prior to joining ARP, Ms. De Aguiar worked at the Public Health Foundation as a Project Analyst for the Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice and as a Project Coordinator in Performance Management and Quality Improvement. Ms. De Aguiar also completed several internships, one at the Division of Public Health Sciences at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and two with the Office of Policy, Planning, and Innovation at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). She also worked for the Environmental Health Epidemiology Bureau at the New Mexico Department of Health and for the Public Health Laboratories at the Washington State Department of Health. Ms. De Aguiar earned her M.P.H. in Community Health from New Mexico State University and her B.S. in Environmental Health with a minor in Anthropology from the University of Washington.
