Research Opportunities in Health Disparities

The Applied Research Program currently sponsors Program Announcements inviting applications for research studies that explore various aspects of health disparities and cancer:

  • Supports research to improve the measurement of diet and physical activity among general and specific populations through the development of better instruments, innovative technologies, and/or applications of advanced statistical/analytic techniques.
  • Supports evaluation research on community and other population-level public policy interventions that may affect diet and physical activity behavior and supports the development and/or validation of community-level measures of the food and physical activity environments, including measures for use in diverse populations.
