Colorectal Cancer Cost Working GroupPurpose: One factor organizations must consider when deciding whether to create or expand cancer screening services is the resources (both financial and non-financial) that will be required. The focus of the Colorectal Cancer Cost Work Group is to understand the factors associated with cancer screening and how the cost of screening might be reduced and thus promoted to more organizations. Members: Ann Zauber and Paul Brown (Co-Chairs), Martin Brown (NCI contact) Activities: The working group has collected estimates of the cost of colorectal cancer screening procedures and programs from 16 of the 27 member countries of the ICSN. Costs were found to be quite variable across countries. A report summarizing these results will be submitted for publication. |
