Webinar Presents Developments in Tobacco Use Data

A two-hour webinar covering new developments in the Tobacco Use Supplement to the Current Population Survey (TUS-CPS) was held on September 17, 2013. The webinar covered topics including new linkages, best practices for accessing and analyzing the data, and the release of the 2010/2011 wave and longitudinal data. Its content was designed to be informative for a wide spectrum of TUS-CPS data users -- including new users, veteran users, and persons who have attended previous TUS-CPS Users' Workshops.

Numerous staff in the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS) were involved in planning and presenting the webinar. Gordon Willis (ARP Office of the Associate Director) served as moderator. The speakers were Anne Hartman (ARP Risk Factor Monitoring and Methods Branch and scientific lead for the TUS-CPS), Benmei Liu (Surveillance Research Program), Sean Altekruse (Surveillance Research Program), and Todd Gibson (Information Management Services, Inc.). Julia Strasser and Jana Eisenstein (both in ARP's Office of the Associate Director) organized the webinar.

The webinar presentations are now archived and available on ARP's TUS-CPS Web site.
