The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is conducting a national search for a Health Economist to develop, coordinate, support and conduct innovative studies of cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment. With rapid changes in cancer care delivery in the US. and the continued implementation of the Affordable Care Act, the person serving in this position will have a unique opportunity to influence research directions and inform health policy.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent in health services research or health economics, as well as demonstrated experience with health care delivery data and quantitative methods and a track record of peer-reviewed publications.
The position is in the Health Services and Economics Branch within the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences in Rockville, MD. This is a career position with the US government and requires that the applicant is a citizen of the US. The salary range is $89,033 to $136,771.
